Heavy-Plate Vertical Storage Rack

Heavy-plate vertical rack — purpose-built for elevator manufacturers: storing thick sheets for cabin frames, doors and load-bearing panels.

Heavy-Plate Vertical Storage Rack

A reinforced pull-out drawer system for vertical storage of heavy plate (from 10 mm) — purpose-built for elevator manufacturers. It keeps thick sheets for the cabin’s structural frame, doors and load-bearing panels sorted by thickness and at hand at the cutting and bending stations.

Key Advantages

Reinforced structure for heavy sheets

Heavy H-beam frame, rectangular tubes and turnbuckle bracings. Load per drawer up to 2000 kg — for heavy plate from 10 mm, armour steel and special alloys.

V-shaped rollers on corner guides

For heavy duty, V-shaped steel rollers travel along corner guides — ensuring smooth extension of the loaded drawer even on uneven floors and at maximum load.

100% independent access and surface protection

Each drawer pulls out separately — direct access to any sheet in minutes. Rubber inserts and zero rigid contact prevent scratches and deformation even on high-value thick sheets.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What sheet thickness range is it suitable for?

The system is designed for heavy plate from 10 mm and above — structural steel, armour steel, stainless steel, special alloys. Load per drawer up to 2000 kg allows storing heavy thick sheets without deforming the frame and running gear.

How does it differ from a standard vertical rack?

A reinforced H-beam frame, heavier rectangular tubes and turnbuckle bracings. The running gear uses V-shaped steel rollers on corner guides instead of polyurethane wheels: this ensures smooth extension of the loaded drawer even on uneven floors and at the maximum 2000 kg load.

Is an overhead crane mandatory?

Yes. Retrieving a heavy sheet from the vertical drawer is done by a crane, bridge crane or vacuum lifter mounted above the rack. Without overhead lifting equipment, correct and safe handling of heavy sheets is impossible.

Can the dimensions be customised for my workshop?

Yes, all dimensions are customizable: height, width, number of tiers and bins, cell width (30–125 mm). The system is engineered around the format of your sheet, ceiling height and type of lifting equipment. Bolted knock-down construction — convenient for container transport and on-site installation.
